I probably won't be posting any after photos. Trust when I say that the new glass is super clear, clear enough to add the tint I almost did before I noticed the problem.

Here's what the 150 looks like, the escape is the same.

The pictures don't even show how much there is.

That is not normal. Get it replaced under warranty.

I'll definitely ask about it. If they say they'll replace it, I'll mention that I asked about the Escape when it WAS under warranty still, maybe they'll do both.

They're going to take pics for Ford when I go in for carpet tape recall next week for the 150.

They said the Escape is a no go since Ford windshield warranty is 12 months or 20,000 km.

I'm like. what does my 3 year 60,000k BUMPER TO BUMPER say about that... lol little put off by being told windshield is a diff warranty.

Looks like I need to take my truck back in for ANOTHER issue. I noticed all of this on my windshield and didn't think Ford would do anything based on their lack of support on other issues I've had. I'll try to get my windshield replaced because driving into the sun is difficult.

I'm glad I searched this. This what my windshield looks like with the sun straight on. Off angle I really don't notice it. It does make driving into the sun (or headlights0 difficult.

Default I'm glad I found this thread!

I have a new 2021 F-150, and I noticed the windshield sparkles on the drive home into the setting sun just a couple of days after I bought the truck. The entire windshield is affected more or less uniformly but, depending on the light, you might see the effect on just a portion of the windshield at any one time.

I've tried cleaning the windshield inside and outside to no avail. It has been difficult to get a good photo of the what I see but, after another round of cleaning attempts, I got a good photo this afternoon of the effect:

I've contacted the dealer via email and attached this photo. We'll see what they say.
