So... ... ... are ya going to shoot some comparison photos for us? Was it worth the trouble?
I probably won't be posting any after photos. Trust when I say that the new glass is super clear, clear enough to add the tint I almost did before I noticed the problem.
I'll definitely ask about it. If they say they'll replace it, I'll mention that I asked about the Escape when it WAS under warranty still, maybe they'll do both.
****, i just noticed mine this weekend. Thought my windshield was dirty from the inside and took some windex to it and theyre still there. Its only noticeable when driving into the sun and its bad.
Looks like I need to take my truck back in for ANOTHER issue. I noticed all of this on my windshield and didn't think Ford would do anything based on their lack of support on other issues I've had. I'll try to get my windshield replaced because driving into the sun is difficult.
Here's what the 150 looks like, the escape is the same.
The pictures don't even show how much there is.
I'm glad I searched this. This what my windshield looks like with the sun straight on. Off angle I really don't notice it. It does make driving into the sun (or headlights0 difficult.
I have a new 2021 F-150, and I noticed the windshield sparkles on the drive home into the setting sun just a couple of days after I bought the truck. The entire windshield is affected more or less uniformly but, depending on the light, you might see the effect on just a portion of the windshield at any one time.
I've tried cleaning the windshield inside and outside to no avail. It has been difficult to get a good photo of the what I see but, after another round of cleaning attempts, I got a good photo this afternoon of the effect:
I've contacted the dealer via email and attached this photo. We'll see what they say.
I noticed tonight while driving directly into the sun that my windshield has thousands of tiny bubbles in it. (Where is Dean Martin when you need him?) .
DON HO not Dean Martin. His only big hit. Tiny Bubbles.
