I ran 20% up front. You'll have a hard time seeing at night when making turns or backing up in areas with poor lighting. I ended up installing backward firing LED spotlight pods on the bottom of my hitch that were wired to turn on whenever my reverse lights were on. If you're not interested in aftermarket lighting solutions, avoid going darker than 35%.

I have a friend that has a light meter and he put it on my back window and it read 22%. So, 20% should match the back windows.

Fyi- I just recently tinted the front windows on my 17 lariat. I've tinted plenty of windows in my past. The hardest part for me has always been getting them cut to size. This time I ordered them already precut, they worked great. I will definitely go that route again. I ordered mine from a company called "filmvantage" on enay. They sell the good quality 3M tint. I'm am extremely pleased with them and customer service was great also.
Were you able to get pre-cut for the front window as well? I looked at a few online places and they don't offer pre-cut for the front window.

I want the back darker. Going to add 20% or 35% tint to the back windows. I want it limo dark, unable to see inside during the day.

I wonder if using something like this on the windshield would help prevent cracking...

FWIW I did 35% on my fronts and love it. I do a lot of driving out in the country at night so I didn't want to go too dark.

I went 35% using a good ceramic tint to block heat and it works great.
I would loved to go 20% to match the back but the wife has some night vision problems and I didn't want to deal with police or inspection issues.

Here is 3M Color Stable series at 15% on my truck. I think it matches very well. Right around $87 out the door.

Cool

I went with the darkest legal tint for mine.

I will have to say that the rear window is a little too dark though.

Putting the CL90 reverse lights fixed that while backing up but when you are just driving it is a little dark at night.

Doing it again I wouldn't go as dark on the rear window but I would keep the others as is including the windshield.

Ok, here you go.

35% ceramic tint on front
