They're like anything else - Personal preference and how you use your truck.

They let in fresh air & let out cigar smoke while driving.
They allow you to leave your windows down a little when it's parked in the sun.

If you want to add them as a fashion statement, the only opinion that matters is yours as to whether they look cool or not.

Weather techs are nice. No tape on the vehicle. Fit into weather stripping.

Personally I love how the AVS Seamless Vent Visors look. They fit into the window frame with a factory feel. I've never used them but I'm going to give them a try this time around I think.

Going to get the AVS low profiles. Some people have used the type that wedge into the weather striping and then had problems with the auto-up feature on the window thinking there's a problem and reversing direction.

Best I ever had were EGR in channels.
Never had an issue on any vehicle, fit great, didn't affect window function, no wind noise and the front has a longer wind damn that goes all the way down to the bottom instead of ending at the top.

Did I read in the manual someplace that you can turn off the auto return feature? I have EGR in channel on the way.
