Default Window auto-up. how does it work??

Sometimes my window goes all the way up with a single tap. Sometimes it doesn't. I've tried double tapping the button, (sometimes works). Sometimes it does it will a single press, and sometimes it never works at all.
I seem to have the best success with pressing the button and holding it in for a full 2 seconds. But even that its about 50% success rate.
Is there some secret to this I'm not understanding???
Thanks.

Thanks.

Mine usually works..

Sometimes they reverse and start rolling back down.. My Mustang did the same thing. Can't recall if it goes all the way back down or stops at a certain point.

If the window senses a restriction it will stop and reverse, your window might be a little tight in it's track.

If you're driving on a bumpy road, or you hit a bump while it's doing the auto-up thing, it'll go back down because the anti-pinch sensor was triggered. When that happens, just hold it up until it closes completely.

When you pull up on the window switch you should notice a slight twich if you pull up enough. That is the point on the switch where the window should go all the way up even after you let off the switch. At least this is how mine works.

Push, or pull it, COMPLETELY.

And if you're consistently getting it reversing, you can "re-train" the windows by holding the switch, forcing the window to go all the way up or down, and once it hits end of travel, continue holding the switch for 5 seconds I think.

Restoring the One-Touch Up Functionality
Note: Perform one-touch up re-calibration with the door closed.
Calibrating with the door open will cause the window to continuously
bounce back.
Functionality may be lost under low battery power conditions.
To reset this function after restoring full battery power:
1. Pull the switch to the one-touch up position.
2. Hold the switch until the glass reaches the stall position and continue
to hold for two seconds.
3. Press the switch down and operate the window to the full down
position. One-touch up will now be functional.

It's subtle, but the switch is a four position momentary. First notch is manual, second is the automatic (for both up and down).

Yes! Thanks TMacFord,
When i pull back on the switch with a little force, i can feel a little click. very subtle. Soon as it does that little click when i let go, the window goes all the way up.
Thanks for the info everyone.. mucho-education on rolling up the window LOL. Thanks.
