I'm lovin my Extang 2.0 trifold hardcover. I can take it off solo in 2-3 minutes, easy to reinstall and with the new materials on the 2.0 it doesn't freeze shut to the top of the bed rails like my previous Extang did. It hasn't leaked in the 2+ months I've had it and would buy again in a heartbeat.

I think the problem is that expectations don't match reality.

First, the cap on the back tailgate surface is not flat. Therefore, a rubber gasket can't block all water at all times unless it's ridiculously tight against the top of the tailgate, and even then might not. Therefore, a remote tailgate release can't work properly in an environment where the cover is tight against the top of the tailgate.

Second, the caps on the side rails are not flat. Same issue - a seal can't seal properly on a surface that is not even all the way across. The higher parts of the caps hold the seal up over the lower parts.

I have an Extang Encore on a 2013. My drain tubes are setup on the front corners to go out the side, not the front, and are barely visible. My cover has a 3 year warranty, and my credit card purchase makes that a 4 year warranty. I have the tailgate step and water comes in there, plus other areas at the very back. It also comes in during a driving rain on the sides in small amounts, and very rarely through the hinges in small amounts. And there is zero noise.

I purchased several of these totes to protect things I always carry in the bed, and one of them has several small tarps in it to cover something (or wrap it) if I am worried about it getting a bit wet. Costco had the best price on them.

I would love a totally waterproof bed, but don't see how that's possible - unless you buy an Excursion...

I'd like one that doesn't leak, is quickly removable so I can fully utilize the bed and one that allows me to use the remote tailgate.
I'm happy with my BakFlip HD. Meets all those requirements.

The Revolver X2 was on my very short list but I had read that some were complaining about rattling sounds while driving both with it closed or open. Does the auto tailgate work with this cover?

Sounds like most people love their X2's...

I know we are selling them to forum members right and left and have not had a single return... or even a call about an issue...

Thanks for all the orders guys!

Remote tailgate works perfect if installed correctly.

I did a lot of reading/research before pulling the trigger on the X2 and I don't remember rattling being one of the complaints. No rattles here.

If I had a do over I'd still own the X2.

Not to thread jack, but I am in the same boat...

However, I am looking for a good SOFT Tri-fold cover, that is good quality - (wont rip or fade right away, and reasonably keeps most water out.

I want it to be easily removed so I can use the entire bed.

I don't want/need a $800 hard tri-fold, as a $200-400 soft fold is all I need to tote my golf clubs around in the summer and other misc. things. I have read MANY reviews, but it is hard to tell just by pictures and not seeing these products in real life, installed on a truck.

I have had my eye on the Rough Country hard cover for awhile now. Looks simple to install and pretty secure.

I have the Revolver X2, and frequently drive with my back window partially open. I haven't noticed any rattling.

For anybody looking for a good old fashion soft Tonneau, the one on my truck has been there since the original owner purchased it in 2012. Its from these guys http://downeyproductsnortheast.com/parts/

Been on this truck since 2012 through winters and summers, still looks brand new, still nice and tight (and not sagging like some do), and still has a shine to it! This cover requires no drilling, can be removed in seconds, and I like that you can pop up any corner or side without removing the whole thing (so if I want to throw something by the cab I can do that without rolling up the whole thing or having to completely remove it)

Family owned and made in the USA.

Just my contribution for anybody looking for a simple old fashion Tonneau
