Interesting.... that seems to have triggered the problem for me too....

Well, that or if it's really cold outside, the system won't work right (no screen, funny sounding turn signals, etc...)

I have a 2016 5.0 XL 101A sport.
This has happened 3 times in the first month. But I was able to pick up on a few things.

With my truck off, locked and armed the media screen stays dimly lit and does not go out.
also while my truck is off, locked and armed the center console cubby light that is triggered by the slide cover stays on as well as the "OFF" indicator light for the interior lights triggered by the doors stayed on even when off, locked and armed.

It cant be an ecoboost issue, I believe its a power issue in my opinion.

Funny you should mention the center console interior light - I noticed that mine never goes off, regardless of whether the truck is on or not or the lid is open/closed.....

looking at it today I could be wrong about that light, but swear I thought that light went out when the truck was locked.

I failed to mention a couple things in my previous post as well. I sat in my truck, key out of ignition, locked, and armed until the dimly lit media screen finally went off (which was about 10 minutes) and while waiting for it to go off I also noticed that the "on" light for the plow button would blink once about every 30 seconds to a minute which I thought was a little weird too. Anyways, after the the media screen went off I turned the truck on and it was fine.

Not sure of the build date, but I believe it's in the time window discussed earlier. I had "Audio Off" issues randomly about twice a month, and occasionally had the audio locked on AM station. No user fix other than waiting it out. I took the truck in to the Dealer (not where I bought it) for a few other minor fixes and also asked them to update Audio Control Module as mentioned in earlier threads. I told them about the SSM and the IDS release I needed. I even had video evidence of the problem. They said they would only update the ACM software if they could duplicate the problem. I called BS and told them I'd take my business elsewhere. After some arm wrestling with the service manager, I reluctantly left the truck with them. Got the call the next day that the truck was ready and (get this) they were able to duplicate the problem and updated the ACM software. I didn't believe that they were able to duplicate the problem, but as long as the software was updated, I was happy. Got in the truck and the audio worked, but the volume ****, tuning ****, and manual preset buttons were inoperative. I could control the audio from the steering wheel and touch screen, but not the manual panel. Upon further tinkering, the climate control panel was dead also. No air control whatsoever, including from the touch screen control. (Note: I did have climate control when I brought the truck in.) I left the truck running and brought the Service Writer out to see what I was seeing. She verified and wrote it up. I left the truck (again) and was told that I needed a new FCIM panel (I assume this is the hardware button panel for the audio and climate control). It was on "national back order" and they didn't know when they could get the part. Adding insult to injury, they wouldn't release the truck to me, citing "no defog" as a potential hazard. Worse, they wouldn't give me a loaner or comp rental. Not sure what was done by the service dept to break this panel, but they never admitted is was something caused by them. I was heated and ran this up the chain to Ford with little results. Part miraculously showed up a week later (unannounced) after I contacted the dealership where I bought the truck. The audio issue has apparently been fixed (knock on wood) as I haven't experienced the no audio or AM only issues I had earlier. It was a shady experience and gave me zero confidence in this dealer's service department (or Ford customer service). Good luck.
I feel your pain...almost the same exact experience. After a month of waiting for the FCIM replacement, finally received by dealer and installed. All OK for a few weeks, and had them close out my Ford Case...big mistake. Frequency of issues, include heat air blend issues, frozen audio (dreaded 3 panel audio death screen)...contacted my Ford customer advocate, and they said "sorry, you need to call and get a new case opened"...maybe with the firing of Mark Fields today, Ford will get someone that will realize that the customer comes first...as an owner of 9 previous Ford vehicles and trucks, and a former shareholder hopefully things will get better.

I have an issue that has cropped up a few times now... 16' lariat 28K miles. Start the truck and no power to the stereo/nav display. Two of the times it's happend I was able to leave the car off for a few minutes and when I turned it back on it started working again. When this happens there is no audio sound or control and screen is completely black. AC still functions. What gives?

I'm in the club now too. LOL 2016 XLT SC with 4000 miles. Got in the truck this morning no radio or back-up camera. Made a 25 minute drive then exited the truck for about 3 hours. Got back in and started it up, everything works again.

Update: After 4 attempts to fix my no audio issue, the dealer wants to hand me off corporate, my customer relationship advocate has abandoned me, and Brett Wheatley said he'd have someone contact me from Dearborn, and haven't heard a peep. I guess they think I'll simply go away...don't think so. After 9 Fords, this is definitely my last...

It's unfortunate that you would never buy a ford again because of one lemon. 99.9% of trucks with this issue were fixed with a quick firmware update (mine included). Every automaker has the odd vehicle with issues they can't figure out. Especially with the more electronics in vehicles now a days. If you are having that many issues tell the dealer you want them to take it on trade for a different one.
