Why can't I get my radio or any audio to turn on?

I had the same thing happen to my new 2016 Platinum also. Tried rebooting my truck and still no audio, next morning everything started working again. I'm thinking maybe my bluetooth connection to it was causing it to be locked up? Just glad its working. Wish they would get Android Auto working so I could start taking advantage of google now, google maps etc. I feel like I was lied to, I saw the videos on youtube showing how it worked, I tried it out at the dealership, just figured I was doing something wrong, but still after getting home and trying several USB cables, both USB slots and a couple of phones still no Android Auto. Also with the Sirus radio issues that some people are having, I think that we should get extended free Sirius subscriptions until they get things figured out.

Add me to the list of strange audio problem. 2016 lariat. Less than 100 miles. Drove home from work and everything fine. Shut it off and picked up wife and kid. Started truck and no audio. Shut truck down twice on our way to store. Did master reset and no change. Removed my phone from device list thinking that may be the problem but it didn't help either. Went out to troubleshoot 30 min later and audio was working. Seems like a software glitch of some sort. Is it only happening to 2016's with sync 3?

With all Fords computer generated electronic issues, it's amazing Ford continues to sell these trucks at such a brisk pace. I guess we're all accustomed to buying electronics or software that doesn't work, then wait for patches to fix the glitches!
Now Ford is selling $50k plus trucks, not $50 software or a $500 computer. And that's called progress?
No worries, my cable tv box gets confused, and I have to unplug it to reboot, just like Fords new F-150's! Wow!!

If this ever happens again, please try rebooting the system instead of a master reset. Here are the steps:
- Select RADIO.
- Hold the power button (center of the volume ****) + the right-seek button at the same time for up to 5 seconds.
The display will indicate when the module is resetting, and you may then release the buttons.

It happened to me again yesterday when I left work. I tried doing the soft reset that u referred to and it did not fix anything. Tried shutting it off for about 30 seconds and still no fix. Stopped at store for about 15 minutes and when I started the truck it worked again. I'll add that I also removed my phone from the device list prior to stopping at store.
I don't know if pairing a phone is causing the issue or not. The last few times I've waited a few seconds after I open the door to start the truck, thinking there may be an issue with starting the truck to early while sync is booting up.
I have to say this is becoming an aggravating issue being that the truck has 150 miles on it. I took a video recording when it didn't work the last time for proof. Hoping it's a software glitch that can be updated. Any help would be appreciated

Just happened to me again last night. Tried the reboot suggested above but no luck. Got in the truck this morning and all is fine. Guess I have my first issue and trip to the dealer with only 200 miles on the truck. It's so intermittent I wonder how they will handle.
