Common sense dictates the more use of a part, the more it wears.

What does the 2.7 have to do with the fact that the parts on the 3.5 are the same before and after ***, why would they only put heavier duty parts on the 2.7 and not the 3.5 or 5.0? You guys are fools to think they actually use different parts otherwise.

*** is just retarded, and I am not a sheeple that blindly accepts and adapts to any thing that is thrown at me because it is accepted blindly by others.

How come when others chime in that they put 90,000 miles on their truck in a couple of years some of you use that as a testament the *** does not cause undo wear on starting components?

Give it up,
no one loves the *** but you.. If any of the 2018 F150 owners had a choice it would be severely overwhelming that it would not be a needed feature to the owners. Only a few millennial tree huggers would want it. The rest of us would just drive carefully to get good gas mileage

K, last time I'm going to show you why you're wrong... The link you posted above is for the TIVCT engine, IE, NOT THE ECOBOOST. The 3.5L TIVCT (naturally aspirated) NON-EcoBoost does NOT have start-stop. Only EcoBoost does in the 3.5.

Here's what happens when you change the vehicle to the 3.5 EcoBoost (GTDI engine)

https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts...r-motor,,11002

Does not work because this starter is not the one to use with Start/Stop.

But it DOES work if you pick 2015 GDTI (EcoBoost) because it does NOT have start/stop... Like seen below:

https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts...r=(30823;36622)

LASTLY, Here is the CORRECT starter for the 3.5 EcoBoost WITH start/stop. Notice the different part # and price!

https://www.fordpartsgiant.com/parts...r-motor,,11002

Get it now? It's NOT the same starter in engines with or without start/stop. I don't know how to make it any more clear than pictures and links...

Yeah.... You obviously have no idea what you're talking about and have been so wrong...

As much as I don't like my ***, I do like having the option to use it, I just wish it could be disabled by default rather then enabled every time.

Honestly the cost of a starter or battery is the least of my worries, they are so cheap it makes no difference to me.

I just don't like the times it stops, then restarts in half a second. The truck can't see in the future and neither can I. I assume that it's going to be a long wait/stop light and of course it turns green right away. Didn't even save any fuel in those cases, which happens the majority of the time for me.

I am still contemplating an exhaust, and one thing I have thought of is how much louder restarts will be and noticable to all around me in traffic. That would be really annoying and cause me to always disable it.

Ok, so I picked the wrong 3.5, but the 2017 still take the same 2014 battery, so no point in me bringing any more info, because all the other parts are non heavy as well. I really do not care if you want to beleive facts or not. That is your own denial, not mine.

I do agree the 3.5 EB did change and is 2nd Gen.

I just posted the facts with links and pictures to the different starters, which you are the one still in denial about.
