What size rims are you looking for 18 or 20? To achieve the wider stance there are rims with a -44 offset. The size of the rim will determine the size of the tire that will fit. How tall are you going with the level?

I'm looking to go 20 for the wheels. And honestly, I don't know about how high I want to go with the level. I just want the front to be level with the back so whatever that is lol. How far with -44 sit out? I don't want it to be absurdly wide, but wider than what I had with -12 and with no rubbing.

Seems that 2.5" comes out level. 2" is probably the most popular.

-24 will of course stick out more then the -12 There are approx. 26mm to an inch so the -24 offset will stick out just less than a 1/2" more than the -12. Is that enough? The more offset, the less tire is going to fit. You also need to decide is you're willing to trim the crash bars. (I wouldn't do it but many do)

I'm honestly not even sure what the crash bars are (I didn't have to trim anything other than plastic on the 06), but I'm thinking I would rather not trim it. Yes, a 1/2" more is fine. I don't want to have the tires stick out super far, just more than what I had previously.

I was actually looking at 2.5" front levels, but then I've read on here that people also do a 3" block in the rear? Why would someone do that if they want to level the truck? Adding a 3" block in the rear would just make it unleveled again, right?

That is correct. If you're trying to level forget about the block in the back.

Looks like -24 offset for the rim is what you're looking for. 20x9 would be the size rim I would be looking at.

Tires with the 2 - 2.5" level. Largest with that offset.... (Educated guess) 275-60-20. Hopefully some others will chime in with their results. You might even try putting one of the stock tires on the front and see how it fits.

To give you an idea here's mine on 12" wide wheels and a -44 offset. I'm running a 2” level and had to trim some plastic and about 4" from the front crash bar.
If you don't feel like cutting much suggest a little bit smaller as I still have slight rubbing in reverse at full lock.

I don't know what the crash bar is, but it sounds like something you shouldn't "trim". Haha.

They stick out some...

different look

Look at the crash test videos elsewhere on this site before you cut off the crash bars, but this is still America, do as you wish...

Perfect fit!

Here's a thread on crash bars so this one doesn't turn into the same thing.

https://www.f150forum.com/f118/crash...got-em-329147/

Like I said, mine were only shortened a couple inches. I felt fine doing so, others cringe at the thought. If you want a low offset wide stance it's the only way without a larger lift and even then it doesn't guarantee they will not be in the way.

Wow! The pictures in that thread have confirmed my choice of not removing them. I'll stick with a little bit smaller tires and keep the crash bars in tact.
