Truck didn't come with them could be an option as well? 2015 Super Cab came without them

I carry my family in the truck. I would not do anything to the truck to defeat any of the safety features.

Bottom with Cab intact! Not much thinking has to be done as to why the 2016 Supercab's now have them! Thanks for the pics!

Wow that's an incredible picture. One thing I noticed, the bed of the second seems to "crumble" more to keep from pushing all of its solid weight through to the cab cause the cab to fold like it did in the top picture.
