I'm sure there are many threads about this, so not to be rude but please save your breath if you are just going to tell me that there are many threads about this and to just look it up.

I am so confused about wheel offset. I am in the market for new wheels and tires. I had 35X12.5-18 Nitto Trail Grapplers with -12mm offset on my previous truck and they stuck out a little bit, however on the new truck I would like them to stick out even a little further for a little bit wider stance. My question is how do I achieve that wider stance? What offset should I get.

This is a picture of my old truck at the lot this past Friday right before I traded it in. I want the wheels and tires to stick out just a bit further on the new truck. Wheel Offset-image-3638183144.jpg

And here's a picture of the new truck. Wheel Offset-image-4127643100.jpg

It looks like you had 9" wide (-12mm) on the previous truck. To go wider, you'll need to go with 10" wide (-12mm or -24mm). The amount of lift you have will determine what size tire you can accommodate with that width/offset wheel though.

I am positive they were 35X12.5-18. The 12.5 means 12.5 inches wide right?

And just a leveling kit because a lift will void the warranty.

The 12.5" is just the width of the tire. The "stance" is mostly about the wheel width/offset.

See, I'm already confused. I know the width of the tire was 12.5". So what are you referring to when you say 9"? I know the stance has to do with the offset.

9" is the width of the wheel. You had a 12.5" wide tire mounted onto a 9" wide wheel.

When he said 9 he was talking about the wheel width on the 06 truck if you want more than that go with a 20x10 35x12.5r20 with a -24 offset

I had aftermarket wheels too, so you're saying the wheels were 9" wide? How do you know that? Because the offset was -12mm?

I don't think that would fit with just a leveling kit. Any ideas what size would fit with a leveling kit?
