Wheel locks
There is a special socket that costs around $10 to $15, available at many auto parts stores, that will quickly and easily remove most locks. Had a set of wheels stolen about ten years ago. They left the locks laying on the ground, along with my car. Police could tell the wheel lock socket had been used. The said wheel locks with an outer portion that spins were the hardest to defeat. That was ten years ago.
Probably your best bet. However, there's always a way to get them off. Most thieves are looking for a quick grab. The longer they're there, the greater chance of getting caught. The ones linked above are likely your best bet. An exterior spline can get a socket hammered on and will spin right off (countless videos).

wish they made a key that's one size! Tire techs at discount rounded mine by cramming a wrong socket on it ...only gives like an 1/8" to spin it
