I can't find a list of what the upgrade from SYNC Version 2.x to 3.0 does. Is there a list somewhere?

i sure didn't notice much of a difference on my '18 other than it adding a heated steering wheel icon to the home screen

 

Oh, don't forget that for some it also adds an annoying pop-up window every key cycle to remind them that it can check for updates...so that you have to TURN OFF the feature that allows for automatic updates. It also tries to download a missing file, that Ford admits it can't do...

Other than those and the heated steering wheel icon...not sure I noticed much of a difference...

 

I believe Waze ios framework was one of the primary reasons for 3.0

 

I highly doubt that it was a primary reason.

 

If your coming from 2.0 it is a good bit faster. The UI responsiveness is much improved. Ford can't be bothered to include a change-log so who knows what else it changes.

 

For me it brought back my album art, 2.2 broke gracenote and wouldn't show a software version or album art so I'm happy

 

I tried to do the download today, the truck was connected to my home WiFi and when I did a scan for updates,, the scanning thing just stayed on the screen and the little thinking circle would flash every 3-5 seconds. After waiting about 3 mins for something to happen, which never did, I took the key out of the truck and the screen was black, but I could see the outline of the words on the screen in white??? so I hade to open the door to get the screen to go off completely but as soon a I turned the truck back on it was in the menu screen but again black with white outlines of the words, like Phone, settings, and the other tab options that our on the scree. So I just left it until I had to go to work and about every 4-5 mins a message would pop up telling me my phone lost connection and that is having troubles keeping the connection??? But then it would connect back up.....any help with this?

 

 

Ok.... What was it then? The heated seat icon on the homepage? Waze integration for iOS is a pretty big deal for Ford and it was one of a few items listed on the release notes, but i you have a better idea I would certainly love to hear it.
