what is the difference in packages or is the black a cover that can be taken off the bumper? I want the all red.

 

Differences in packages is immense. You're comparing a Lariat to a XLT.
Major differences:
Power fold mirrors
different grill/bumper
painted mirror caps
Possibly LED Headlamps (required 502a package)
Tailgate release
Auto tailgate
Gauge cluster
ETC.

Determine what model you want based off that stuff. A painted piece on a bumper is a simple fix.

 

Use the compare feature on the Ford' F150 site. It will show you all the package differences between the various models.

 

I have an f150 crew eco crew coming in. I want to make sure it has that red bumper. It is loaded with roof,mirrors, nav, ect. 501a package and lariat sport appearance pkg

 

Lariat Sport front bumper = body color end caps with Magnetic center.

XLT Sport front bumper = all body color.

You will get the picture on the left with the 3 bar grill and center of the bumper painted grey.

Also, the Lariat has a 3 piece bumper and the XLT is 1 piece.

 

No, the lariat Sport has the black center section on the bumper. No frickin' idea what Ford were thinking about when they put the full body color on the lower trim levels then screwed up the Lariat with that stupid black section....

 

So in a nut shell I have to have the bumper painted in the center. Great
