Default Welcome lighting

My wife has a '19 Lincoln MKC and when you walk up to it with a fob exterior lighting comes on. I have a '16 Platinum and anyone know if that is something that can be activated, it would be a nice feature to have.

The BCM has a setting at 726-28-02 x*xx xxxx xxxx call Lincoln Experience. 1=Lincoln Experience, 0=null

Not sure if this does what you are looking for and I don't know what happens if you make the change, so proceed at your own risk. Maybe someone else knows more about this.

Definitely let us know. If it works like the Lincoln Welcome, I would expect it to activate the mirror puddle lamps.

From what I remember our trucks don't have the proper key or antenna for the approach detection. So it'll be more than just changing some values in forscan.

Any truck with push-button start detects the presence of the fob before you unlock the truck. It might work as it wakes the BCM up as soon as the fob is detected.

You're saying the BCM on a Ford wakes up prior to you touching the handle?

I could be wrong, but I believe the BCM is woke up by the RTM as soon as it senses the presence of the RKE fob. That way the BCM is ready to unlock the door as soon as the door handle sensor detects your finger in proximity.

Well I gave it a go and it was a no go. The "Lincoln Experience" turned the lights on in the bed and the left headlight. The other morning I drove to work in the dark with my bed all lit up. So my conclusion is that welcome lighting is not available.
