Default Primer adhesion failure

Noticed that i have paint coming off my truck roof in 3 spots in one of the rain channels.
Visited the body shop manager at my local dealership today and showed him the issue.
I have asked that they send a "Digital goodwill request" to Ford corporate to ask for help repainting
Pointing out that
I purchased the truck new.
Have had all my maintenance done at the dealership.
He did agree to send in the request.
Does anyone have a feel for how long it will take Ford to raise a case number and make a decision?
Also I asked what the repair would entail
Kind of shocked that it would be a full roof repaint, repaint of the a pillar up and around the door windows and down by the bed. The bed would have to be removed.
Really didn't expect this as the damaged areas are relatively small .

My 2019 is doing that in more or less the same spot, as are many others.

I mentioned it to the dealer once when it was in for service last year, and the response was: "The warranty on the paint is 3 years". Hope you have better luck than I did.

Same here. If you do get it approved please share so the rest of us could use your case to get satisfaction.

Almost all of them are like that. Some colors are worse.

I have also had peeling paint issues on my 2018. Paint has peeled or is peeling along the roof channels, on the hood and headlight surround. Also it is peeling along the side windows and on top of the tailgate. It sucks that we pay 50-80K for them and the paint starts peeling within a few years.

Your dealer is full of crap on having to paint all that, only thing that needs to be done is the roof you could not find a better spot for a repaint as the chanel gives a natural divide.. Now looking at the pics its towards the front so they would be able to do a blend towards the back of the rood... Oh wait old school body men are hard to find anymore just like good techs now its jsut paint everything because they do not know how to blend in anymore or color match paint that may be slightly faded.
