I live in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan near Lake Superior. When I select the weather map the image shown for the western portion of Lake Superior and the area where I live (near the Wisconsin border) is completely wrong. I was wondering if anyone else has had a similar issue, either near where I am, or other parts of the states? The dealer checked out several 2015 vehicles with the version A6 SD card, and they all have the same issue.

 

I am in Central WI. I should be able to zoom out and look. I have a 13 Taurus with the A6 card and 3.6.2 MFT. Can see if it is different or not. Can you post a pic?

I have the same issue. Nearest WX station they report is 180 miles from me. I think the database they use just doesn't include smaller regions.

 

I think he is saying the map itself is wrong. So the question is does MFT provide the map and Sirius the radar precip overlay or does Sirius provide the map and the overlay?

 

Is the only way to see the radar from the dedicated weather screen and not from your current nav screen? I could have sworn my friends previous generation MKZ would display it on the normal nav screen and you could zoom in a lot closer than ours lets you.

 

To give you an idea, the location is taken from about 100 yards from the shores of Lake Superior. This make has me several hundred miles.






I appreciate all the responses. I went from a 2010 to the 2015. The 2010 mar was fine. The 2015 map is incorrect. I will include some photos for you. This is not the correct shape for Lake Superior, nor of Wisconsin and Minnesota. My guess is that the map they are using is incorrect. Not sure of the source. You would think that it would be the same as the Navigation system, however that map is correct. I did call Sirius and request a reset for all systems. No change

 

Does anyone see any photos attached? I thought that I had, but I do not see an attachment.
