Default The wait... How long really?

I placed an order for a new F-150 on April 13th. My sales person stated that it is a 4-6 week process to order a new vehicle, but since I've found this forum I've read about 'delays' in several different threads.

For those of you who ordered your truck, can you let me know when you ordered it, what state you live in and how long it took you to get it?

I don't mind waiting, but really want to set my expectations to be based on reality, not what the sales person told me. TIA.

Mine was ordered on 2/29 and I picked it up on 4/14. Ohio.

Sadly, because the data IS all over the map, none of it may reflect your specific situation. So yer idea may prove futile.

For example - I was told lead time was originally 8-10 weeks, and now with the 36 gallon tank delay, lead is now purportedly 12-14 weeks. Add rail car issues, demographics, lunar tides, and the GOP, well... because entropy, lol.

Get yer info, plug it into Cotus, and begin a rapport with the nice friendly Ford Service folks on here - via a PM, as they have requested.

Then - try to relax.

Mine was ordered on 3/11 and arrived on 4/16. My truck was built in kansas city and i live near st. louis so mine was trucked here instead of by rail.

Depends on where you live as well.

Ordered on 2/10, took delivery on 4/18.

Not really, as far as I can tell. We have folks who live in Canada, who ordered later and received their trucks sooner than others who live in the US and are much closer.

And if it sits in a rail yard waiting for a ride, it won't matter where you live, lol.

Like I said - entropy. Chaos theory.

That makes so much sense. The 36 gallon tank price went from $195 to $395 MSRP which is why I didn't get it.

Regarding to 'being all over the place' I'm just trying to see what the worst case is and prepare myself for that. TIA.

Yes - it does make sense. Because Entropy EXACTLY describes this process.

Some folks do NOT have a tank choice! Us Canooks fer example.

You want best/worst case? Here it is: <4 weeks to >5 months, judging by all of the hundreds of already-posted delivery experiences posted since last year.

Now - how does that help you? Answer - it doesn't - they're just random push-pins on a map. None of which is likely to reflect your specific outcome.

Asking the same question over and over and expecting a different result is ..... well, you know what it is

There is absolutely NOTHING you can do that will change the outcome, save cancelling the order and buying from inventory. It's not healthy to worry about something you cannot control. lol

Chill - just because you don't happen to like the message is no reason to shoot the messenger. Aight?

Cheers - we are all in the same leaky boat.
