Do you mind sharing where you found the same one as pjband? Thanks

Its been awhile. But best I can remember you have to pull the vent and release the plug from the back side. Then just push the new plug in from the front.

Got the meter installed. A little bit of trouble getting vent cover off but with a lot of tender tugs it finally came. Pushed socket out the front, wired in volt meter. Had to open hole up just a little, not enough that original will not fit if ever put back. Thanks for the idea pjband.

My meter came today around noon and got it installed. First I pulled the center console trim lose, remembering from doing the rear cup holder ambient lighting mod and also adding a USB cable that the front console trim clip goes into the vent stack trim that needs to be removed. Then to make that easier I loosed the FCIM since the vent trim has a flange behind the FCIM then it popped right out. When I installed the new unit, had to slightly file the hole as mentioned above with a round file, installed the USB/ volt meter and instead of cutting the OEM connector ( which I hate doing ) I cut cut off the supplied eyelets and extra wire, then I took spade connectors and cut the width so they would fit snug in the connector and then the folded wires over the connector tucking them under the Y shaped release and taping wires tight to connector. Good to go.

Noticed the other morning that my volt meter like the one being installed here was flashing 15V. In order to stop it I cycled the seat heaters on and off. It then read 14.9 and no flash. Anyone else seen this?

I've never seen anything like that. Or anything out of the ordinary for that matter.
