ok, thanks for the description. i was just wondering what you did with the pad to make it fit.

i just ordered the 3/16" pad. these vibrations are very annoying. how was this not caught when testing the truck?

Interesting idea. My spacer trick is still working pretty good so I'm good. I figure the best way to absorb vibrations is not to touch the firewall at all.

The floorboard vibration I fixed almost all of it by putting Dynamat around and over the E brake cable. There is also a hard foam piece that fits under the dead pedal and the front of the mat. I yanked that out and that cured 98% of the floorboard vibes. The only drawback to this is there is nothing under the dead pedal and it squishes down to the floor a couple inches. Not a big deal at all.

Glad we're getting several different ideas in 1 thread. I think I'm gonna try some sorbothane and try it too. Maybe this could work under the carpet and absorb the floor vibrations.

I understand that... I just end up fixing most things myself. I know it should not be that way but it's the way it is.

Another reason I will not ever be buying another ford again. Ford is cutting corners and not cowboy-ing up on them.

My spacers are working pretty well, but I ordered 12x12x1/4" sorbothane to give it a shot too. Should have it installed in the next day or so.

Got the ¼" sorbothane installed under the gas pedal assembly and also sorbothane washers on top between the bolt head and top of assembly. Quick test drive says this works even better than my previous washers! I couldn't feel ANY vibes on my quick neighborhood trip. Will drive it more this weekend for a full report.

Awesome to hear man. I also installed the sorbothane behind the pedal assembly this evening. I went with the 1/8". It was kind of a pain to do but only because of the tight working quarters. Also, that sorbothane is very sticky. It's some neat stuff for sure.

I didn't feel hardly any vibes during my quick test drive. It was somewhat windy out too which is when I seem to notice it the most - I think I got used to and/or accepted the pedal vibration more than I realized. This sorbothane solution might just do it. When I got back I put the remainder of what I had left undernesth my Husky floor mat where my foot rests to see if that helps alleviate any of the vibes in the floor.

Big thanks to @Donzy and everyone else who has contributed to this thread along the way. I definitely think we're getting closer to a viable fix.

I did the same, put a sizable square between my weathertech liner and the carpet over the dead pedal area.

Just went on about a 40min trip, ZERO vibrations in pedal or dead pedal. It's too bad I can't do this to the steering column to kill some of the jitter I get through that.

Pic of what it looks like.

i just bought a 2015 F150 Lariat, 4x4, 3.5EB, 3.55 elec locking, and I spent almost 60k

I also have that gas pedal issue, and need to acquire the fix... Where to get the sorbathane washers, and 1/4" sorbathane?.

I bought mine from Amazon. I went 1/8" but thicker sizes are available.

I bought these below. You'll also want some new M8 bolts that are a little longer than the current ones if you're doing both the ¼" and washers.

Isolate It: Sorbothane Vibration Isolation Washer 70 Duro with 3M Adhesive (.45" ID - 1" OD - .19" H) - 8 Pack https://www.amazon.com/dp/B009M92WHY/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_RpLBxbKCT2BYT

and

Isolate It!: Sorbothane Vibration Damping Sheet Stock 50 Duro (1/4 x 12 x 12in) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B004LYGH3U/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_xqLBxbE1R9HCC

Edited to add: I cut the 12x12 into a 7x10 block and then sliced the top left corner off to fit around the steering shaft. I may trim a bit more around the pedal assembly, but that will get you close to right size. I then marked the bolt holes, used a razor to score about a ½ x½" cutout and used sharp scissors to cut the holes.
