Default Upgrading Instrument Panel

Hello everyone, as the holiday season is over and I am planning my truck mods for this year I am curious about the clusters by Livinitup. I have the standard panel and was wondering outside of appearance is there any functionality difference between the larger and small screen? Thanks!

1. if you have a turbo then you'd get a turbo gauge not available on the smaller screen clusters
2. if you have factory NAV then the 8" screen cluster is capable of displaying turn-by-turn NAV on the cluster
3. if you have 4WD then there are different screens for the off-road
4. shows a DTE (distance to empty) above the fuel gauge
5. shows actual digital temperatures for the engine & transmission gauges

There's probably a few other differences I'm forgetting but the 8" screen cluster also opens up the ability to add Adaptive Cruise Control with additional hardware/wiring.

You might have better luck getting additional responses if you post your question in this thread: https://www.f150forum.com/f118/gauge...5699/index172/

Out of curiosity, do you have to re-enter the mileage of the truck, or will the new gauge cluster accurately display the mileage once installed?

I program the mileage, engine hours, engine idle hours, code your VIN, and program your truck's factory as-built values to the replacement cluster so that it's plug & play when you get it from me.

Most guys will give me an estimate of the mileage to program considering the 2-5 day transit of the new cluster so that they can continue driving their truck and once they reach the programmed mileage of the new cluster they will do the swap so that the mileage is perfect. Some guys have a 2nd vehicle they can drive so they'll give me the current mileage to program.

Note: I require proof of current mileage and will not program anything under the current mileage, engine hours, idle hours.

This is a lot more than I had realized. The package I would personally have would be Nav and 4x4 w/o turbo.

That is a very detailed programing which is awesome. What does programing the vin do for the panel? Does this mess with auto start or any of the key fob features?

I saw one youtube where his cluster wasn't programed and he had to take it to the dealer. It does seem super easy to do but is there a chance that could happen?

Finally, how much does this cost?

I thought it was dumb that, with all of those big color displays, my truck didn't do turn by turn in the cluster.
When I saw you post that, I thought, 'it doesn't do that!'

Then I searched through your other posts and found you or somebody else posting about how to get it to do that.

Thanks! I R dumb. RTFM

So is it something you have to go back and do via a tool like FORscan or can you just set it up in the options menu?

I don't understand why Ford buries these features.

Once you're "navigating" via SYNC, you go to Navigation/Compass on your cluster and there will be turn by turn there.

I haven't actually tried it, but there was a picture of it working on the cluster in that post under MyView.

This is the thread/post I saw it in:

Any cluster plugged into a truck will automatically record that truck's VIN in the cluster memory so if the cluster is brand new then programming the VIN isn't necessary. In the case of a used cluster I will remove the VIN of whatever previous truck was connected to it and only program the current VIN. The cluster doesn't have anything to do with any of key fob features but if the truck has Auto Start/Stop I will program it to display that correctly. The as-built programming to a cluster ensures it is only programmed for the features your truck has so there's no on-screen warnings about things your truck doesn't have like Adaptive Cruise Control, BLIS, etc. The as-built programming ensures the fuel tank size is programmed correctly, whether the truck is 2WD/4WD, turbo/non-turbo, remote start, etc.

The dealership can not program mileage, engine hours, engine idle hours so the video you referenced must've been someone who needed the as-built programming done. This as-built programming could've been accomplished by the person with FORScan himself but like I said, this is all done by me so it's plug & play without any need for a dealership visit.

For a new 2019 8" cluster that works fine in most 2018s as well the price is as follows:
The price is $650 (PayPal or Google Pay only) and includes cluster, new front clear lens, all programming, and priority shipping unless you want any of the extras below. California residents will be charged sales tax.
$20 - blue tint added behind the gauge faces (BGG Blue) https://i.imgur.com/fpxEZu2.jpg
$30 - red tint (requires 2 layers of red) https://i.imgur.com/Omf6TwN.jpg
$100 - sport gauge faces only https://imgur.com/aUwijuK
$150 - Sport cluster conversion - includes sport gauge faces, red needle pointers, red LEDs soldered to the circuit board to illuminate the needle pointers red (pics of this): https://imgur.com/vmEEGcS

Can you add me to the waitlist for the 2018?
