I'm in ottawa and we have one small shop here that does corrosion free (did not want to go to crappy tire). Time will tell but it seems like good stuff, the guy was very thorough and I was able to come check out the job under the hoist when he was done. There's a fine film of dirt over the frame and everything sprayed now, stuck to the gel-like coating. I only had the undercarriage done as I figure the rest of the truck should be fine with just regular washing now that they are aluminum.

Can someone explain how that can happen? Unless there is moisture already there when sprayed, I don't see how this can happen.

The type of undercoating that hardens like paint (Ziebart for instance) traps miniscule amounts of moisture that gets through cracks, scratches or missed areas. Add in some freeze thaw cycles (daily sometimes) and the problem grows. The water is trapped below the rubbery layer of undercoating with nowhere to go and condensation adds to the problem when temperatures and humidity vary. I only know from an experience of 1 so YMMV.

To those that got Krown, did you let them drill holes in the rockers? I have been using krown for years but I just haven't made up my mind with regards to the new f150. I was thinking of just having the frame sprayed...
