Unhappy Two edged sword

This website is basically a two edged sword. I have found some very useful information about my 2018 F-150...on the other hand...if I had spent a few days here reading posts, I would have never bought it.

I'm sure others will chime in and say the exact same thing, but typically people on the forums join to complain or find solutions to their problems. The gripes you see on here represent a very small minority of F-150 owners. The majority either don't have any issues or don't care enough about vehicle modifications to join in the first place. Spending too much time on here can make you feel like your truck is a piece of crap. Just sayin.

From my observations, the best solution for the complainers is to use their 3 year/ 36,000 mile warranty. That is what it is for.

But really, if we let common sense prevail, who in his right mind would buy an F-150 if they are as bad as they are made out to be on here. The vast, very vast, majority of buyers don't bother with this website, because they have no complaints.

if I had spent a few days here reading posts, I would have never bought it.
OP, you made the right buying decision, I hope you enjoy your truck as much as I have enjoyed my last 2.

I've had my 17 for over a year now, had it in the shop once for warranty. Other than that I could not be happier!

My 16 was a piece of crap with a capital S, but my 18 is fantastic. Luck of the draw, some are junk, but most are great. I have had 4, 2 were great, one was OK, the other was junk.

Besides, if you on any brand X forum, they all have issues. Just different kinds of issues. This also applies to other products as well. It just hurts a lot more when it is a automobile because of how expensive they are getting and it can affect your drive to work if it is your DD. Go read the reviews on Amazon. Every single product that has more than a few reviews all have bad reviews and are crap if you only read the 1 star reviews.

I have bought and owned Ford trucks since 1984. I currently have a 1997 XLT 150 that I bought new. Still use it every week. Routine maintenance and two window motors is all I have ever had to do.

Yeah me too reading some of the threads here i would of never bought my F150 but fortunately found this website AFTER i bought my truck.
The only regret not finding this website before i bought was i would of found out a Lariat FX4 comes with 4A.
The 4A thing aside, i couldn't be happier with my truck.

You want to feel better?

Go on the other Truck (Ram-Chevy) forums and read about their issues.

Bingo! Every manufacturer has issues and you'll hear more about them on the forums than you will the good things.
The only thing I have a complaint about is the pano-roof. Been in 4 times and the first time I used it after the 4th visit it popped. I haven't again because it has been too hot or raining.
Other than that it's been a great vehicle.
