That doesnt seem completely off base. Is yours extremely low mileage or something?

35500? I can get a new one close to that lol. Like others have said, this thread is relatively useless. The markets vary from city to city.

No, it is not off base at all considering how Ford screwed us all. My dealer has 62 2014's still sitting on his lot which is killing trade in value. They just need to come up a few thousand to pay the thing off. I have 19002 miles on it and the truck is perfect. Here is the truck.

If it is the same dealer you purchased your current 150 from. They always have a lot of stock.

Traded in a 2008 2WD Tacoma Double Cab, Texas Edition SR5 with 68000 for $16,500. It was listed the next day for $19,995.

I could have sold it for more privately and had I fought I may have been able to get more for the trade in. I politely voiced my concerns about the price but didn't make a big stink out of it. During finance they asked if I wanted the 6yr 72000mi bumper to bumper with free maintenance. I asked them the cost and they said $3400. I said no thanks. A guy came over and asked "would you be interested if I can lower the cost?". I said I'm always interested in a deal but at this point, I've been here 3 hours and I'm ready to go so it would have to be worth my while. He dropped the price to $1400.

Whether you agree or not, I felt that $1400 for free oil changes and tire rotations/balance for 72000 miles and a hassle free bumper to bumper at any Ford service provider was decent for the peace of mind it brings. I also felt that by dropping the price $2000 I got that much more for my trade.

The hardballer's out there probably think I got scammed or think this was a terrible deal but honestly, I walked out of the place feeling good about my purchase. Even looking at the paperwork the next day I still felt fine about it. X Plan made it a good deal as well without the back and forth crap. Stress free, didn't waste time, got what I wanted.

Window tint and spray-in bed liner part of the deal, not added. They didn't charge me for the dealer add ons.

What interval will they change the oil? And what oil will they use. If they will do every 5000 with full synthetic, it is about break even at 14 oil changes. But I'm guessing they won't do synthetic or more than every 10,000 miles. My dealer charges ~$100 for full synthetic with a tire rotation.

But if you are happy, that is all that really matters! I ask because I'm curious and with low interest it isn't a bad idea to finance the maintenance

If they already have 62 on the Lot why would they want another one ?

How exactly did Ford screw us? You'll need to walk me through this.
