Default Traction control sucks?

I have a 2015 I've owned since new and have over 30k miles and it's been absolutely perfect but damn this is the hardest vehicle I've ever owned to accelerate either going straight or from a turn if the ground is wet. It was like that when stock and when lifted. I've owned trucks before and I know they're light in the *** but never this bad. I know it's not the tires because I can emergency stop pretty fast but of course weight is loaded to the front.

This is past weekend I almost killed myself trying to get on the highway. I was doing about 25 on an on ramp and was feathering the accelerator to try not to spin when there goes the *** swinging left and right and i never felt the traction control kick in. The little light was blinking but my *** was puckered to the seat and had to correct it myself. In the BMW I traded in for this truck I could feel it cut power or apply the brakes and get it back under control quickly but on this one I don't feel anything. I wound up having to put it in 4h at about 30 to get control and accelerate so I didn't have a car a smack me in the *** entering the highway. Is this normal for these trucks?

Don't know what to tell ya. I have to make a concerted effort to get my 2016 to hang the tail out. Even then, traction control reigns in teh fun pretty quickly.

I actually have to turn it off if I want to have some.....*ahem*......fun......on a snow covered road....

I have the same issue... If I start to have fun it starts cutting throttle... If you didn't know, even when it's off, it's only "off". It just sets higher parameters but stays on... If anything, mine is seriously invasive.

Every morning there's a spot where I have to yield to oncoming traffic entering the interstate. So I sit at the On-ramp and wait for the line of cars to have a gap and punch it...If the road is even slightly wet I use the E-locker, otherwise I'd just sit there spinning. It makes a big difference. Of course I am accelerating in a straight line, I turn it off before I make the U-turn. It does make for a fun little drag pull in the morning.

maybe less torque for when you're feathering the throttle.

I've heard the 5.0L is less 'snappy' than the EBs

I have the same issue, and thought it was the Hankook tires -or- is it the lighter aluminum bed? I'm on my third F150 and they have all been predictable if the a** end was going to let loose, these are my first Hankooks and aluminum truck.

Right now I'm real leery of wet roads and turns at highway speeds.

I blame the Hankook Dynapro ATm's, they absolutely suck on anything but dry roads. But Ford's traction control is also the worse I've driven with, it's way too slow to react to slipping. I can start roasting tires before the TC kicks in and the light in the dash starts flashing.

I don't know what truck you have... but I can tell you that the GY Wranglers on my Lariat 4WD have WAY less traction in the wet than the Michelins I had on my '07... couple that with lots more torque available lower on the tach and wet driving requires being laid back. Especially here in SA where for the first hour after a rain it's what my dad would've described as "slicker'n owl ****."

In the Lariat I've found that 4A is nice on wet days around here.
