Default TPMS Sensor relearn issue

Hey guys

2019 lariat.

Front left tpms sensor went bad so i just installed a new oem sensor from ford.
I have an old amazon training tool so i went through the training procedure (break, cycle ignition 3 times etc). Using the tool on the front left wheel (which is the new sensor) works find but then when i go to the next sensor which is front right and is an old sensor that is working fine, it will not pick up the learn tool, so i cant complete the training procedure.
I also tried the 6x hazard method but using that method will not pick up the first sensor which is the new one.
Any suggestions?

Since the new one got activated and the rest have been working, go for a run and see if the system comes alive on all for corners.
Good luck.

Good luck.
I did go for a short drive but no luck so far.

The problem is that I cannot complete the relearn process and the screen in the instrument cluster will say that and ask me to redo the process over.

But yea, that is what is confusing me. The new sensor is obviously being activated and picked up by the vehicle so it seems to be good, but why is the existing sensor not going through the re-learn process? Am I supposed to maybe reset the old sensors somehow and then relearn?

Stupid question but did you try going for a quick drive before starting the learning procedure? I think the manual says you're supposed to drive for 2 miles before attempting a learn.

Yes I did, had to drive home from the tire shop after changing the sensor, It's probably 3-4 miles

I recently changed 2 sensors on my 2015. I used the hazard switch method to enter training mode. I have an Autel TPMS programming tool and I was using that to trigger the sensors. It was going well until I got to the left rear tire, which was one of the new ones. The tool would trigger the sensor, and it would receive the information from the sensor, but the truck refused to acknowledge it. I tried several times, even moving the truck away from any possible interference, but no luck. I ended up plugging the tool into the OBD port and programming them that way. I know that probably doesn't help you, but I just wanted to share that I had the same problem as you.

I replaced mine recently. I had the same issue. Seems that the other sensor batteries are failing. I replaced all four with Ford sensors and no issues.

Yea this is kind of what I was hoping not to be the solution, but if there's no other solutions, I guess it's the only way to go.

I do have one more new sensor I bought, so I guess I'm going to replace the front right one and try again to see if I can still reuse the 2 rear sensors and if that doesn't work, I'll have to switch out all 4.

Yea, unfortunately I don't have access to that tool.

On another note, anybody have a link on amazon for a set of aftermarket sensors that you have had good luck with?
