Default Towing screen question & Sync3 issues

2016 XLT with Sync 3.

1. When connecting a trailer the dash automatically recognizes a trailer has been connected as well as which of my 3 trailers. It then automatically makes all the necessary adjustments to handle each trailer. However, when I DISCONNECT the trailer, the screen displays the trailer has been disconnected but the trailer mileage continues to add up as I drive without the trailer. Is this normal?

Also, Sync3, I have the manual climate control. Sometimes the automatic climate control icons pop up at start up. These buttons are useless but it seems odd that they show up. It seems it happens more when it's really hot out. Should I ignore or take it in?

Last, Sync3 never remembers my Pandora link. I constantly have to re-link it. Again, normal or take it in?

Yes that is normal and incredibly annoying. How Ford's software development screwed up that use case boggles the mind.

Ya know, they make it so the truck can tell you the trailer is disconnected but it can't shut off the mileage? It turns on automatically. Kinda BS but I guess it is what it is.

What about the Sync3 climate control & Pandora issues? Anything there?

Just go back into the trailer options and deselect trailer.

yes, if you dont deselect the trailer the dash display also defaults to the trailer screen at start up. I may be wrong but I seem to remember you also need to be stationary to deselect the trailer...

The thing with the climate buttons on the Sync3 is a known bug with the XLT's and the older version of Sync3.

If you update your Sync3 to the newest version (v2.2) then you should be good to go. I haven't experienced that happening since upgrading.

As far as the Pandora issue, unknown. I've never used the Pandora app with the Sync. Since upgrading to the v2.2 of Sync3 I just use the Pandora app in Android Auto and it works great.

For information on the upgrade, click the link....

OR...even better, just connect your truck to a WiFi and try to upgrade via Sync3.

I'm still on 1.0 and it says it last checked for updates today. I heard there was a way to force the upgrade but I know nothing of it.
