Default Towing with level

Hey allRecent got 2020 F150 Lariat and want to get a 2" level and throw timbrens on the back for when I tow to keep from sagging. Anyone have experience with this or towing with a level?

You’ll most likely squat when towing with only a front level. I’m not familiar with Timbrens but the Firestone bags worked well for reducing squat. It’s not gonna help the ride tho.

Install taller rear blocks at the same time as the level. Problem solved.

Timbren are great... 3 trucks so for.
Just make sure your not overloaded in the payload department. Include your hitch and tongue weight.

Meh. I recommend against this. From a labor perspective, adding rear leafs isn't that much harder than adding rear blocks. And from a cost perspective, AALs are only $60-$80 more than blocks.

I have Bilstein 5100s up front set to 2.1". I have full-length Autospring rear AALs, and I towed a large, fully-loaded trailer the entire length of the east coast without any sagging or handling issues.

I started with add a leaf to bring the back back up on a Roush that had a Fox 2" level from them due to the weight I carry and Leer cover. Add a leaf probably increased my rear spring rate capacity by 750 lbs. The truck says I have 1500 lbs payload to play with. I would not be surprised if I am over that many times. Then added airbags for towing trailers when not using weight distributing hitch and just running on the ball. Most of the time they are at 15lbs but I put 50lbs of air with a travel trailer attached. I found that a good reference is to look straight across the top of the tire in the rear and when I can see the line of the bottom of the wheel liner is just even with the top of the tire I am good running 305-55-20 tires. I have a generator and compressor in the back of my truck all of the time to do this, but I can do it just as easy with a bicycle pump and a few pumps. I plow with the truck in the winter too and the plow weight is around 500 lbs not including the mount on the truck and the truck carries that weight just fine with all of my permanent ballast I seem to carry. Load range E tires, 9,75 rear axle and a sway bar on the rear. Just hit 100,000 miles on my 2018 5.0 and no problems. I am looking at F-350's currently so this truck may go to just Sunday duty in the near future with a new daily driver.

With a 2 inch level on the front and the timbren you will still have squat in the rear . It tows well with them but not level. Airbags are the easiest way to get level when towing along with a weight distributing hitch. I started with the timbren and now have Airbags. But if you really want the timbren setup I will sell you mine. Cheap

I’m leveled with Bilstein 5100’s set to 1.75” and added Roadmaster Active Suspension helper springs to mine to keep from squatting while towing. They also vastly improved the ride while towing my camper.
