So I just picked up my new '15 F150 FX4 on Monday and on the build sheet it states I have a towing package. However there is no brake controller on it which I expected it would/should have? I do have the hitch and it appears to have the tranny cooler so why no brake controller, I find this odd?

 

I believe the brake controller is a separate option unless you get the max tow package.

 

Correct. Max Tow comes with brake controller and other goodies.

Yes it is included with the Platinum and KR. As per the brochure for the rest of the line-up:

Trailer brake controller: requires Class IV Trailer Hitch or Trailer Tow Package; included with Max Trailer Tow Package)

 

Yeah that might be it. Did you happen to order the brake controller separately?

 

Nope. Just regular tow package. Poster above said platinum and king ranch have them even without max tow.

 

XLT I bought off the lot had the brake controller installed... Sticker said $250 for it I believe.

 

I bought an XLT and the integrated trailer brake controller was $275
