Default Tires for 2WD F150

Hello all,

Lots of info on tires for 4X4's. I have a 15 XLT with a set of OEM 20's running the stock 275/55/20's.

What I want is a slightly beefer street style tire that looks good. Was looking at some 275/60/20's and will take any suggestions on brand or even alternate sizes. Keeping the existing wheels.

I live in Florida and it's flat. We have a 32' travel trailer and never see snow in our travels and never plan to so I didn't need an AT tire.

Picture of truck is attached.

Thanks!

Here's my XLT 2wd on stock 20s. I have Goodyear SRAs 275/60/20. They don't have the best reviews online, but I got a ridiculous deal on them and haven't had a single issue with em.

are you planning to level or lift the truck? Stock height you can do 275/60/20 or maybe slightly wider like a 305/50/20. If you are going to level the truck you could go up to 305/55/20 or 295/60/20 which should roughly be a 33" tire.

Exact tires I was looking at. Seen a ton of Rams pulling campers with those tires and they seem to have no issues.

Pics are great! Did you paint your door handles or did you get it like that? Sharp truck!

Thanks!!!

I'm looking to drop the rear 1". Just haven't pulled the trigger because I worry about the camper even though people say it will not effect anything.

I'm also in Fl. Just had a 2.5 level done. Had 275/65/20 Nitto G2's put on stock rims. No rubbing and no issues. Tires give a slightly rougher ride than stock but they look much better.

Thanks for the compliment tampastx. I actually bought these tires off a guy's Ram when he switched to MTs. My door handles and mirror caps are the stock textured plastic. I have the 300A package/non-sport edition. I bought the wheels from one of the members of this forum, bought the steps off ebay, swapped grills, and had the bumpers powder coated. Here's before and after.

I was looking into doing a level, but being a 2wd, the rear measured only 3/4" higher than the front. Just wasn't worth it for me.

Wow! You've done a killer job with that truck.

That pic shows the tires perfect. That is exactly what I want!

P.S. Your yard looks great as well. It takes a lot of water in Florida to keep it looking that good!
