Thumbs up Thinking of coming back

Well last June I decided after 16yrs of driving trucks and suvs that I needed something fun again. Well I think the fun is over.

Traded in my black f150 for a new mustang GT - don't get me wrong the car is awesome but it's not very practical. So I've been back on here lurking.

Some of you have really fixed them up nicely since I was last on here.

I'm thinking black again and thinking of black kmc slides again. (I really miss my old set up)

I know think this was my ultimate biggest mistake.

On my way today to test drive a 2017 with the 5.0

I always mod the hell out of my vehicles so it might me hard to let the stang go also.

Will depend on the deal

I was in the same boat as you a few years ago, except I got rid of my truck for practicality instead of fun. I get a work vehicle, so my truck just sat and it seemed like I never used it. I figured why pay for something I never use. We got the wife a new ride and then I drove her old car. That worked out fine for about a week. As soon as I got ride of the truck, I needed it to haul or pull something etc., etc., etc. You see how this ended up going. I did this arrangement for a few years before I said, "I'm done."

Lets just say this. I have come to the conclusion that no matter what, I will always have a truck because the day you don't have one is the day you need one.

I am now driving a new 2017 4x4 Supercrew with the 3.5 Ecoboost and the Max Trailer tow package. This truck is amazing and I am so happy that I went back to the truck. My dad was so impressed with the truck he went out and bought one as well.

Finally, it sounds like you like to go fast with your Mustang 5.0, but Im here to tell you both the F150 5.0 and Ecoboost are fast so when you need a little excitement, just hit the gas and get it out of your system then go back to hauling bark or towing your boat. Problem fixed.............

Good luck. I don't think you will regret having a truck around, three is so much you can do with it.

Take care

If your mustang is highly modded i would try to take it back all to stock before trading it in. If not, your just throwing that money away. Good luck on the truck hunt!

As someone who owns both a f150 and a mustang, I can say conclusively they are not even remotely on the same planet of "fun to drive"-the mustang is 100x more fun to drive. With that said, i also appreciate the comfort and utility of the truck and could see why just owning the mustang (without a truck) would be really challenging.

Oh man, you live in Florida, I'd be driving over to VMP or Lethal in a hurry if you make the switch. I just ordered a smaller pulley, bigger TB, injectors, tune and fuel pump booster to go with my roushcharged Screw. Anybody who says trucks can't be fun isn't trying hard enough, I'm pretty sure my truck is going to be damn fun, it already is a blast with the phase 1 roush. Turning up the wick is just going from fun to full on crazy, I like crazy. Should be close to double stock HP, that is fun even if it's a prius

Mustang would live in the garage in our climate for 4 or 5 months of the year. With a young family heavily involved in sports we need practicality first. I want a new Z07 vette bad (I'm not brand loyal) but know it's not in the cards for another 7 or 8 years till the kids are grown up. For that reason I opted for the practicality of a Screw 4x4 that I can run year round and just pump it up so it beats 99% of the cars on the road. Life situations sometimes dictate vehicle choices, we also have a little mazdaspeed 3 for zipping around town when we don't need much cargo.
