Here's a little teaser of the switchbacks in use at night

And here's some pictures from dinner time when the sun was starting to go down. They're pretty dim during the day, similar to the stock led boards, only slightly brighter. You would still want to use the headlights as dtrl's.

help anybody?
The one you bought is an actual oem black off a 2016 prototype. That seller has been selling 16 headlights for months.

Those are the 2016 F150 Special Edition headlights. Just buy a factory one for the other side when they are released in the next month or so.

Btw, that's not a part #. It's an engineering number.

The shrouds around the LED headlights are very hard to remove and I didn't want to break anything, I could have taped over the lenses, but I would have risked overspray ending up getting on the lenses. Also the chrome around the led pipe is all one piece. The clear pieces are not removable and they would need to be taped as well. Again risking over spray getting on the clear lens. I wasn't willing to risk it. I can do a write up on baking the headlights and getting them apart as well as installing diode dynamics switchback boards.

Here's a picture of the back side of the chrome shroud.
Yeah, the clear c clamp ring does not separate and has to be masked off. Appears to be a real pita.

Zoom in on all the black painted heads and you can see tape marks where they've been painted. Checkout the black heads on the stage 3 page and you can see masking tape wavy looking lines masking off the clear c clamp lens.

See the attached pic for what I'm talking about with the paint / tape lines.

Same deal, special edition headlights. They are going to be on the 16s that don't have LEDs. That same seller at one point in time had 1 side black complete factory LED headlight for sale. It sold for like $2XX

Then another $4-5 for the installation. It took him about 8 hours because there was a lot of cutting and trimming to get everything to fit and look right. So total it was a little over $900.

Defiant Custom Rides in Raleigh NC was the installer. A couple finished pics below, first shows with switchback being used as blinker light along with the regular signals. Might have them fully painted, possibly go quad.

That is beautiful. Now I want to do it to mine. Sure beats 1600 for the OEM LEDs, which suck

Man those look good......why can't Ford just offer them that way in the first place.
