3.5EB Off The Line Speed
So, I am recently back into the F-150 crowd. I had a '97 and an '04 Lariat with the 5.4. I am not into tracking or really into clocking times, but when some hot head pulls up next to me at a light in a lane that ends in 1/4 mile, I want him to end up BEHIND me.
I have seen all ove the threads about the sport mode, traction control, advance trac, etc. I have seen the grid in the manual that shows what is enabled with which button press sequence. With all of the experience out there, I am hoping someone can answer one simple question...
My question is, stock 3.5EB, what "mode" will give me the best green light straight line performance to put that 328i in his place.
Thanks!

Thanks Hunter. That's why I chose the 328 to pick on. I have a 535 and have put them against eachother... the only reason I won in the truck is because my wife came out of the throttle in hers faster than I did.
I was in straight sport mode that time.

Good to know the best option in case of this scenario. I figured turning off trac control (not advanced trac), sport mode + locking the rear end + boost would yield the best way?

Brake stand at 2,500-3,000 rpm and let her rip... you lose a lot of time when having to wait for boost to build up from idle

The accepted number is 12-13 psi of boost stock. If you're power braking it that puts a pretty good load on the engine and it will pretty much be giving you all available boost when you release brake and floor it.
