GM has a newer part on the newer trucks as well. Part# 22836268.......looks LED and about the same size. I don't know if the one you have is LED.

In looking @ both part numbers, the 22836268 is about 1/2 the price of the 15248604 and is shown for the 3/4 ton chevys. Can't find exact measurements on either. Have a friend that is a Chevy parts man. Will visit in the AM and see if he can get measurements.
Good find, now wonder if they will fit my 13 Lariat??

Wish we could run the Ford Part from the Super Duties but looking at my truck....there is little room with the hole there for the Tailgate wiring to go through. Might have to use GMs part. I think id rather have the newest model one though if it 'll fit.

The 22836268 is for the recent model Silverados vs the 15248604 being for older ones.

Well shoot, I thought I read somewhere that the Ford Part is 7/8" in height.

I'm going to go over to the Ford Dealership today and see if they have the Ford lights in stock and see if I can look at it.

That's the measurement for the GM unit.
I haven't seen the Ford unit in person. It wouldn't surprise me that it's made by the same supplier.
If anyone get's the Ford unit, how about letting us know the dimensions, and possibly a photo. I'm not putting this on any day soon, [weather], and who knows, maybe I'll buy the Ford instead.

I'm going to goto the Ford Dealership today and see if they'll let me look at it. I'm considering making a custom wire Y-harness to hook into the license plate lamps without splicing into factory wiring.....I think the Ford light requires a pigtail also to plug into the light. It dosent have wires coming out of it. The question is I need to find a wiring pigtail that has the male end of the license plate light connector. This would normally be the light socket, but I need a normal connector. I got the numbers for the pigtails for the License plate lights and the Super Duty Marker Lights.
