SYNC Software Update Issue
After following the on-line instructions, I attempted to update the SYNC file on my new truck ... It stated "installation incomplete" and then stopped. Thoughts?
Well, I was hoping for help, not an editorial as to my typing talent.
Unfortunately this isn't technology I'm currently familiar with, and was hoping to avoid a call to Ford or the local dealer.

True we could make a guess that as you just joined you have a 2016 but how do we know you didn't get a killer deal on a 2015..

I'm assuming he's talking about Sync 2. I have Sync 3 and have not had any update eligibility for the last month since I bought. It doesn't mean there isn't one...but I have not seen anything about Sync 3 being updated yet.
Maybe yours is doing it automatically via wifi when parked in your driveway?

OK, more detail. I picked up my new 2015 Supercab XLT/FX4 (non-touch screen) late last week (prior truck was a 2004 Lariat), and when I registered on-line, there was a software update ... and after trying to transfer files from the web site to the truck via USB, no such luck. I'm wondering whether I'm missing something here.
Oh, and I'm getting it "accessorized" with the bed sprayed (likely Line-X), Truxedo tonneau top and some mud flaps ...
