Sync Navigation Website issues

Default Sync Navigation Website issues

Hey guys,

I went through the Navigation Update website, put in all the info, completed the "purchase" ($0.00) and assumed it would download, something...? Got an e-mail with the "purchase" and in that e-mail it says "If you need to access your order to download your map again, please click here"

No matter what I do, I cannot get the file to download. I click a hundred times and all it does it take me back to the original link https://syncnavigation.com/ford/home (tried on every web browser known to man)

Now when I put in my VIN and ESN the only option it gives me is to purchase a USB stick at $40.00.

Anybody else have this issue and know a fix?

Slight update.

I was finally able to speak to someone about the issue. They said that I am part of a "small" handful of people who was caught in a website glitch that happened over this past weekend. She said she would fix the issue and send me a new e-mail with a link that will actually work for the download.

I will let everyone know if that doesn't happen.

I had issues with downloading the update file and after two attempts the download page kicked me out and I couldn't get back to it to attempt any further download attempts. After two weeks and 6 phone calls to the 1-800 support line (from the update website), a nice lady in California finally gave me a web address to enter into my browser that got me back to the download page. After that, my download happened without problems and my map update happened without any problems. Call the 1-800-900-8458. They will ask you for all your details including your order number (if you got one).

I can download the file to my computer just fine, but every time I try to transfer it to my USB it stops at about 30% and gives me a generic, unexpected error code 0x80004005. What the hell is that? I tried on two different computers with the same results each time, which leads me to believe the file is corrupted or something???? What a pain in the ***!!

I was one of the “few” who got caught in the weekend web site issue. But by Monday I was able to reorder the map, got the correct page to download the files. Install went smoothly, and now I have the latest maps.

The lady called me back again last night, and let me know that the reset the order so all I had to do was place the order again. I did, and I was finally able to download.

The instructions provided are not the best.

Instead of just opening the archived file, I extracted it first and then copied the files over to my USB stick. I didn't have any errors. Your error specifically though I believe is related to Cut instead of Copy, as your PC thinks you do not "own" the files, so try to Copy them instead of Cutting them. How did you get the update for free? When I go through the website is shows $109.00 for the download.

From what I understand, they do a 1 time complimentary download.
