If you're not sure your version of Sync is fully up to date, you can check here: https://www.ford.com/support/sync-maps-updates/

The last update for Sync 3.4 came out about 2 years ago. The last update for 3.0 was sometime before that. If your version is not fully up to date, it would be worth your time to do that, either by flash drive or a strong WiFi signal and automatic updates.

That's curious. A short time after the last update, when it became apparent that would be final, I shut off the truck WiFi. There's no purpose keeping it connected if there's nothing for it to download. Recently, after installing a map update by flash drive, I turned WiFi back on so it could register that installation, and prompted a check for Sync updates. Nothing, as expected. I turned WiFi back off.

You might check your software versions in the settings menu. I'm showing Sync 3.4 build 23188, as it has been since that last update in early 2023.

Mine is 23188 too. What's weird is, about 2 weeks ago I had the download icon in upper right of screen, I pressed it and it said download complete, I did not investigate further (I should have), no idea what happened, but last weekend on a camping trip, my car play worked without issue.

If Ford didn't charge an arm and half a leg to update my SYNC maps, I would do it. Love my adroid auto, but seeing the posted speed limit on SYNC isn't worth the $100 plus to have that luxury of easy access to toggle through my music on my flash drive on intown trips. This must be a huge cash cow for them.

When I did a Google search for free sync map update, that didn't show up. But I now just found it thanks to you. Not sure how to decipher what is in the attached photos, so any help is appreciated.
