Sync Master reset other than using touch screen?
Display has been wonky lately so though I'd try a master reset. I find it in the settings menu then touch it, the warning all data will be lost when reset to factory settings comes up. Press the continue button and nothing happens. Hit cancel and nothing happens not even a beep from either button.
Pulled the fuse and it shuts down but that doesn't clear the memory and reset to factory.
Is there another method?
Thanks

It stops at step 4 which I noted in my post.

The soft reset should clear any cache/memory issues...
Yes reboots but doesn't fix my issues.
Must be corrupted software since it does not allow me to perform a master reset although the APIM and touchscreen work to get me to the last step before freezing at the choice of "continue or cancel"

I was having a goofy situation a few weeks ago, my system did a wifi update, and it seems corrected (mine was not playing nice plugged in iPhone with carplay). I'd start with a peek on ford with your vin# or cyan labs website for an update. Next I'd likely do a wipe clean and reinstall from cyan labs. Please keep us posted

Either both of us have APIMs failing in the exact same way or the more likely answer is corrupted software from an update. But can't do a master reset! gggrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Woke up last week to my android phone showing an update being downloaded, and didn't have a choice to stop the install. Not sure if it was from the cell acrrier or Samsung, the phone maker. But it changed the look of the home screen on the phone somewhat and the way some features open/operate. Since then, I have had what seems like a bug, which makes my sync 3 on my 2018 act up. Coincedence? Seems fine without the phone plugged in, although maps take a bit longer to load now. My phone is set to open android auto once plugged in, and sometimes freezes up, or I just get a black screen. Voice commands are a bit glitchy now.
If you end up going the apim route, there are some on ebay that will program to your vin#, and much cheaper than the Ford route, with a decent warranty. I thought someone on this site did as well? Edit: interwebs says Forscan can reset it, also a battery disconnect, sit a while, will rest it. I have the Forscan dongle, have not played with it yet.
