yes because the method I used doesn't need FORScan and is much simpler. I haven't tried the FORScan method there so can't say if the result is any different. I've used FORScan for other tweaks, but not the reprogramming.

i just wanted to come back here and first day THANK YOU!

and second for anyone who sees this post. This guy knows what he’s talking about.

injust bought my 19’ Lariat F250 a couple weeks ago and the sync was a mess. Freezing glitching. Etc. everything lagging delayed totally frozen etc.

he told me what to do via PM. Watched a video. Bought a flash drive. Did some steps it told me and followed it exactly and it fixed my entire issue exactly as he said it would.

cost me all of $8 to buy a 32 GB flash drive and a few hours downloading and going through a few steps very slowly and rereading steps to ensure I missed nothing.

I mean. It worked perfectly. No issues since and I am thrilled this was not a big big problem I had just bought. I mean it was. But not an expensive to fix issue. Very cheap and dumb that I even had to do it. But listen up. It works. I’m proof of it. Any questions Pm me.

Since Ford knows that this is a problem will the have a recall and correct the problem

no one know for sure. But it’s almost as for as can be that the answer is NOPE!

No, recalls are only for safety issues.

Something like this would maybe be addressed with a service bulletin or customer satisfaction program, but not a recall.

You'd think that doing a hard reset, and maybe flashing to the latest update, would be part of used vehicle prep at dealerships. It probably will have to be at some point. I'd be very careful about checking out the control, communications and entertainment system on a used vehicle before buying it.
