Sync Connect Retrofit (in any Ford).

yeah, but, we, I, still don't know, or remember, what you're trying to fit this to,
is the year the same?
do they speak the same cgia(or whatever) language?
I know it won't work in my truck
a little more info might be helpful, all around

not for me...

After reading through the majority of this thread, I'm looking for a few clarifications before I start picking up parts and attempting this on my 2016 Platinum:
- Some of the part numbers listed in Post #1 seem to reference the Ford Engineering part number, rather than a "normal" part number and therefore are proving difficult to find when searching Ford Parts websites (or when the dealership searches their system). These include:
- the PIFA antenna (HL3T-19K351-AA)
- Doesn't show up when my dealer searches it and doesn't show up on TASCA's website either; the "generic" part does show up and does list the F-150 (HL3Z-19A390-A). Does this "generic" part bolt into position in the F-150 the same as the specific F-150 part (I'd assume it doesn't)?
- the shark fin LTE antenna (JL3T-19K351-AA5DST)
- Doesn't show up when my dealer searches it and doesn't show up on TASCA's website either. I was able to come up with this part number (JL3Z-19A390-ACPTM) which is a paint-to-match part, however I'm looking to try to find one already painted in Magnetic Metallic. Does anyone know the part number for the Magnetic Metallic version of this? The closest I've found is two on e-bay, but they are red and white...I also can't find any junkers locally.
- the TCU module (JL3T-14G229-AG / JL3T-14G229-AM / HL3T-14G229-AP)
- None of these show up when dealer searches it and also doesn't show on TASCA's website. I've found a couple on "open box new" ones on e-bay, but would be nice to have the part number to see if the price for the ones on ebay is reasonable...I've checked local junkyards and there are no vehicles near-by which would have the TCU.
- Additionally, I'm located in Canada, and there still seems to be some unknown relating to if a USA procured TCU will function properly in Canada or if it has to be sourced from a Canadian scrapped vehicle. So this is another reason for why I'd like the part number to search at the dealership and the option of ordering from my local dealership (I'd assume whatever they'd order would already be set up for Canada)?
- the PIFA antenna cable (HL3T-18895-GC)
- Doesn't show up when my dealer searches it and doesn't show up on TASCA's website either. The closest to this I can find may be JL3Z-18812-C or HL3Z-18812-C, however this is listed as a separate optional antenna in Post #1?
- the PIFA antenna (HL3T-19K351-AA)
- I found the part numbers listed for the bolts (there were two different types of bolts it seemed; 3 x W505427-S439 for the TCU module to the rear wall of the cab and ?#? x W500613-S439 for the PIFA antenna to the roof of the cab), however no one ever confirmed they fit and were correct. Additionally, I couldn't find any reference to a part number for the clips/nuts which would be required for the bolts used to secure the PIFA antenna to the roof of the cab? I found a couple of posts where someone stated these were not found in the roof and asked if anyone knew a part number, but it was never answered. Does anyone know anything further on this?
- I'm confused about where BoostedGreyGoose's wiring harness (or your own home made) fits in? From what I can guess, it seems like it runs from the TCU on the rear cab wall, along the factory wiring down to (and along with) the factory wiring under the passenger rear and passenger front door sills, then up to the BCM. I'm not sure where C2280C is located or what it looks like, but it seemed like one wire from the harness needs to be inserted into that connector in the Pin# 15 slot (and the connector plugged back into the BCM). Then it seems like the remainder of the wiring goes along the dash behind the passenger glove box to the ACM/APIM test port, but I'm not sure what the test port looks like or where it is located (potentially the grey connector down by the OBD diagnostic port?). Does that sound correct?

Question... if a vehicle never had a TCU and one is installed and the APIM option has been enabled, should Forscan automatically pick it up when connecting and reading modules?
