Did you do a full reset of everything after installing 3.16?

doesnt work for me either but doing a full reset of everything doesnt seem like its something that would have to be done. I'm sure most ford customers just update the app and have it working. Doesnt seem realistic if all ford users would have to do a full reset every time an update is released.

I know people hate resetting their phones but a hail mary would be to first do a full back up of your phone. Then I would remove all the vehicles from the ford pass app. Do a complete reset of the phone, wiping it to factory status. Add the fordpass app and use a different account, preferably a brand new one and then add the troubled vehicle and see what happens.

Has anyone tried that?

Im at least getting a different error now. Before I got a generic "Something went wrong"
Now i get "Could not locate vehicle"

I think MY TCU as built is wonky too. My 754-04-08 line only has one data block. All the as built data posted have two. Can forscan update the firmware or is that an IDS thing? I have an OBDlink Mx if that makes a difference.

i actually did all that today with an old iPhone. Factory wipe and iOS 14.4. Latest FordPass. I also master reset my sync and cleared the vehicle out of FordPass from my main phone. I then added to a new account on the other iPhone, it found the vehicle and actually let me activate it from the iPhone. Got the message on sync. Accepted it, and refreshed my app. Got all the buttons but still odometer, fuel, tire pressure. So it made some progress in my case.

I am tempted to do that but I worry I might lose all functions all together if I wipe my sync3 and make a new account. I am still using the good old update bypass and at least the main 3 functions/buttons work, I just dont get any other functions like location and oil life and tire and mileage but oh well.. it still starts it and in this current -30 celsius weather we are having it is much needed. This version is 3.12.

This definitely seems to be an app issue and not Ford disabling the functionality for TCU add-on users like myself. App version 3.15 on my iPhone XS running 14.4 doesn’t work. On an old Android phone running FordPass version 3.12 I have working Start, Lock, and Unlock buttons after bypassing the FordPass update nag screen. This is after freshly installing 3.12 from a mirror site.

where do I find the version I’m running on iPhone? I have an update to do, don’t plan on doing it (3.16)
