I know, I will pay them a visit this week and see what they will offer, but I don't really want to change my truck unless they have one the same colour and features. They had to get this from another dealership.

SYNC® Connect is optional on 2017 F-150 XLT, Lariat with equipment groups 500A and 501A, and F-150 Raptor equipment groups 800A and 801A.

SYNC® Connect is standard on 2017 F-150 Lariat with equipment group 502A, King Ranch, Platinum, Limited, and Raptor equipment group 802A models.

I still do not consider it being part of a package as being "standard".

Yes, at a minimum educate him on the fact that Sync Connect is NOT a standard option.

OK. However, the salesman telling the OP that all 2017 come with it is dead wrong.

Yes, it can, when Ford releases it sometime this summer. So, you can make them commit to providing it for free, with the free 5 years of service, that they told you that your truck would have. Simple module(s) that plug into the OBDII plug. Let them eat the cost and the annual fee for 5 years.

No new truck needed.

Sync Connect allows for things like remote start and stop, lock and unlock, location finding from Ford Pass.

P.S. I should point out that Sync Connect will give you that information, but that information being available doesn't mean that you have Sync Connect.
Interesting. So the only unique features of Sync Connect, vs. the normal connection via Vehicle Health, is remote start and finding your truck?
