SYNC 3 v3.0 - Page won't give me download link
Noticed yesterday randomly that there is a new version for SYNC 3 (v3.0). My 2018 F-150 is running v2.3
Tried to do the auto update over Wi-Fi and after 15 minutes of spinning I gave up, looked online, seems it doesn't work for anyone but the lucky 1%
Tried following the USB guides, but when I go online to download, the page never finishes loading (tried 3 different browsers), so I am unable to get the link to download the ZIP file.
See image below, pages stops at this point. Can't click anything.
Thoughts?

You are going to find out everything sync update related is intermittent at best. I've done multiple vehicle using USB and sometimes they work perfectly but sometimes there are quirks. I've never had wi-fi updates work correctly in my '17 F-150. I'd be willing to bet if you try the download later it will work.

Sometimes the download link goes active after a couple of minutes. Sometimes you might have to try several days before it works. V2.2 took a couple of weeks of trying but V3.0 worked first day for me and just recently downloaded a new v3 build on first try.

Use one of these instead, worked fine for me: https://www.4dtech.com/software-updates/

I was unable to download the software using Microsoft Edge as the browser, but was able to get it to download using Microsoft Internet Explorer. I have high speed FIOS and the download for a small less than 2 GB file still took close to an hour from Ford's website.

huh, worked yesterday when I posted that. I wonder if it has anything to do with the other thread. A guy was having trouble updating from v1-v3 using that link, and actually called 4D tech like it was their fault. I bet that triggered it.
