I have to say, purely from an aesthetic point of view, Sync 2 looks far nicer than Sync 3. Sync 3 looks like a major step back in GUI design.

Now, It may work great, so if it's stellar I can live with the ugly interface.

That's great... Curious if there is any programming needed. I would think dealerships will be able to do this if it is actually doable.

That's pretty interesting. As others have reported, you have to change the APIM as well as the touch screen.
So if this company are sending you new ones, is there a value in the ones we remove from our truck?
I would do it, but 2k is rich. If I could get some cash for my equipment, I may pull the trigger.

Exactly. If I gain all the extra functions I can live with the less attractive screen

It'd be a tough call between looks and actually being easy to navigate around the system. My worry is the 1 year extended warranty. I don't think my dealer is going to be covering this when it dies in 18 months...
