Into the Future featuring an F150! Ha.

Does the actual date show to be correct?

I'd also recommend updating via USB. I'm leaving for a big road trip tomorrow, so did the check for updates and found there was one. Went to the Ford Pass website, logged in, did the auto-verify there to double check, needed it, downloaded via USB in under 20 minutes and all good. I tried using house wifi and the trucks auto-update feature before and it took too long, so switched to the USB method and it's much faster.

Go into the 'Settings" menu, and it will be an option there if not already visible on the top of the screen. You may have to scroll left or right for the second screen menu if not immediately visible.

I'd guess your first problem is the time date in the settings is incorrent, which may be why it's throwing an impossible message being that it's still July.

I have been trying to update mine since yesterday using a USB. Formatted USB with exFAT, downloaded the updates, yesterday it kept immediately giving me an error LST_004 and shows a last checked for updated 01/01/2014. Today did the same thing with a different USB, this time it did at least see the USB and looked like it was working, sat in the truck (with it running) for 40 minutes but nothing seemed to happen. Have to leave now but any suggestions would be helpful. Tried to call Ford, went through their prompts, system told me "high call volume" then immediately put me into a Satisfaction Survey. No help there.

Have you done any programming changes to the APIM? Perhaps that is day/month versus month/day if you were messing with settings which could throw off wifi updating as well.

I’ve never had a wireless update be successful unless it was a very small file. These days I just download and update via USB.
