Carplay Access to Music while Driving

Carplay Access to Music while Driving
Does anyone know if it is possible to access your entire music library on the screen while driving rather than the limited library made available. I know you can see the full library when stopped. It's annoying to be limited, especially since my other vehicle offers full access. Can this be changed with Forscan?

You mention CarPlay, but not what app within CarPlay you are using. Spotify? Apple Music? Or are you not using "CarPlay" correctly and just mean MP3s on your device?
I use Spotify on CarPlay and have no issue accessing everything, so it may depend what you are using.

I'm thinking he must be referring to Apple Music. Mine does the same. While stopped you have full access and then once moving it will only show a dozen or so selections on whichever screen you're on. You can use voice commands but I find it doesn't work all that well for me. Since Spotify allows full access, I would bet it's something done by Apple and not the truck, so I don't think there will be a Forscan fix for it. I'll wait for others to chime in though, because I'm also curious if it's possible to change this.

It looks like while CarPlay is controlled entirely by your phone, it receives certain inputs from vehicles and different manufacturers send different information sets to CarPlay, and it can result in different behavior. So my guess is Apple Music is programmed to not show a long list of songs if going about 5 MPH, but the vehicle has to have the capability to send current speed to CarPlay through the HU, which it sounds like Ford does, but Hyundai does not, or at least the MY Hyundai you have. I found a thread on another forum where people from different manufacturers reported their results, Mercedes seems to show a full list, Hyundai was on there too, someone had a VW that scrolled a full list, bought a Jeep, and now only sees a compressed list if not in Park.
So we may get some benefit from Ford allowing the HU to know vehicle state, but also some restrictions like you are seeing.

Honestly, I don't think you can. I mean, at least, I can't do that. Maybe because I got a car that sucks, but I reckon that this should be possible if you've got a brand car like Mercedes or BMW. I've always hated my car because it would play music automatically, and even if I want to pause the song, it will still play. Like for real now, that's super annoying! Anyway, I'm making a Youtube video about a Porsche Carrera, and I am looking for some stock music and sound effects. Do you guys know any websites where I could get them for free? Cheers!

Might be somewhat relevant but I use Amazon music and I have the same issue as far as accessing my library of music. In fact it will close the app out completely every single time. It's completely random though. Doesn't matter how long I've been playing music or anything. Sometimes it makes it about 30 seconds into a song other times its may be 10 songs in. I've found absolutely no rhyme or reason to it whatsoever.
