Default Sync 3 update available

Sync 3.4.23188 is available on the Ford owner support site. I downloaded to a USB drive and installed this afternoon. You have to insert the USB drive while in Park, but after the update starts you can drive. Took about 25 minutes. I didn't notice any changes at all. As always, read and follow the instructions on the web site.

After the last update, Ford can keep their updates.

This one works as it should. No more popups, remembers my phone book, and number of radio presets.

Cross your fingers it continues.

So I downloaded, and unziped. Do I get rid rid of the zipped version? It's on a 4g thumb drive. I usually let the wifi do it's thing.

There's something to be said for leaving well enough alone. I don't think any new functionality has been added since 3.4 came out, and that only added a few minor options and aesthetic changes. That update screwed up Bluetooth and Travel Link for about 4 months before the next update to fix everything.

Downloaded and installed. Everything works as it should. I may do the jailbreak anyway, though.
