Hey new poster here, but longtime lurker. I too keep getting the BGMAP_ERR01 error code due to me letting the truck turn off during installation. Do you have to have a certain number of post before you can PM someone like on other forums? I'd like Acool's fix, but cant find anywhere to PM him when signed in.

Acool how were you able to load a custom splash screen? I assume you added it to one of the sync tars then loaded it. I would like to do this on my 16 platinum. I tried to look through the img files but can find anything that will mount them for me to look through the files.

I'm at the same boat. I'm struggling with that problem without success. Still message installation in progress and BGMAP_ERR01.

2019 F150 Platinum not able to update
Was trying to do the nav update and stopped it before it completed and now whenever I try the update is gives me an error message of MEM_ERR01. I have done a master reset, re downloaded the software, used different USB drives, did quick and regular format.I have not had any success with it.
Anyone have ideas or a fix for this?

Hello everyone, I am from Argentina.
I've registered because I would like to ask some questions about Sync, hope to don't bother.
I am not an F150 owner, I just have a Ford Ecosport MY2019 with Sync3 and I am "playing" with my Apim, trying to add only SA maps after activating Nav.
Of course, I am running into out of space with the original package, because checking into the mounted image files on some ubuntu server it comes with ANZ (1.1g), SA(3.4g), TW(740m) and TK(967m).
It looks like the Nav app is already installed, but not sure, after activation the navigation error appears.
Well, the point is, I wonder if there is some method to create the tar file only with the information that I want (SA Folder for Maps & Voice).
I will try to install that after cutting Gracenotes, I did the math, seems that the space on my Apim is enough.
(I couldn't connect yet to sync, all ports are closed)
I have Sync v 3.4 at this moment.

Hi, your error is "MEM_NOSPACE_TO_COPY", try to delete GN Pkg from the autoinstall.lst, also I think that some people deleted file maps from Canda and Mexico because they come in different tar files.

Thanks for the response Acool. I was trying not to have to deal with QNX and jailbreaking as I'm not the most familiar with it but could figure it out with some time. So my initial thought was to understand the main app file structure that you get when installing updates to sync. I assume these screens are some form of movie files. If you know the names you could build your own video and replace one that comes default with the update. You could then build the image with your updated file. Again is just my thought process which probably wont work.
