Anyone interested in being the guinea pig for the fix, PM me and I'll give you a link to the package! You must have the "Installation in Progress" message to successfully use this version of the fix. I'm working on a second version that is a bit bigger but works when you don't have that message.
Been sitting on the sidelines here looking for a fix for the "Installation in Progress" message and along comes Acool with the
Holy Grail!
Thanks Acool

Acool,
Tried to send a PM but got this "Acool has exceeded their stored private messages quota and cannot accept further messages until they clear some space."
Any other way to get the package?
BTW thanks for your work in solving this and lots of other problems we're having with this Sync 3.

I'm assume you deleted in unused regional content to make the package smaller. Did you remove Canada and Mexico from Nav? You might want state which users your fix applies to, such as English speaking American only (if applicable), to prevent users in other regions from patching out files they might need.

It looks like he just made it smaller so that the update would finish loading. It's just meant to be a placeholder so that the full update can be reloaded.
I had a "Nav inop" message all during the repair update. Once the full was loaded everything works fine.

Yes it's just a straw man set of map files that temporarily takes place of the installed maps files so you can reinstall the original again. Once the original is reinstalled the straw man is completely replaced. Similar to the fix for non nav mem error using voice from a nav package as a straw man.

As an aside, What's interesting is the bgmap_err01 is logging in a way implying that if the original map install were a "transaction" type, it would continue despite the space constraint (meaning it knows it should be deleting something). Autoinstall.lst has the option transaction set but the error still occurs. Might be a bug or there might be a way around the issue with some script edits but anyway this works for now.

Should I have a hash for the 421 file if my install was 100%? My maps say 18 and voice stuff is working. If so I have the dreaded (random) installing in process message problem!
